“Termite Control Solutions” – Terminix
Published: May 6, 2013
“The average cost of termite treatments and damage repairs is $8.184.”
“Terminix® specialists are trained and equipped with the most effective termite control solutions. If termites are in your home, we will find them.
Did you know that every year termites infest about 1 in 30 U.S. homes, causing an average of $8,184 in treatment and damage repair costs?
Since most homeowners insurance doesn’t cover this type of damage, it makes sense to take a proactive approach to shielding your home from this enormous cost. That’s why Terminix offers two different types of guaranteed solutions that can protect your greatest investment against these destructive insects.
Termite coverage plans provide unmatched protection by offering an annual inspection of your home and property. And if termites are found once you’re covered by a protection plan, you’ll never have to pay for future treatments or damage repairs. Terminix covers it all.
The Bait Barrier Plan establishes an advanced treatment perimeter around your home that can help protect against subterranean and Formosan termite invasions. The Bait Barrier Plan is also backed by the Ultimate Protection Guarantee so you’ll never have to pay for future treatments or damage repairs for as long as you keep your plan.
Getting started is simple. Give Terminix a call to schedule a free, no-obligation termite inspection so they can recommend a plan that’s right for you. To find out more about proactively protecting your home or to find out about the Terminix Ultimate Protection Guarantee, call 1.866.766.7628.”
“How To Get Rid Of Termites” – Terminix
Published: May 6, 2013
“Terminix® specialists are trained in the most effective termite removal solutions. We offer three types of termite treatment options and will recommend the solution that is right for your home.”
“If you’ve discovered termites on your property, there’s no doubt you want to get rid of them in the quickest yet safest way possible.
The professionals at Terminix have decades of experience in doing that very thing and employ a variety of techniques to effectively treat an infestation.
The first technique we’ll discuss is the Bait Defend System. With this program, baiting stations are strategically placed around your property in areas that are likely to see termite activity. Termites who take the bait will then carry it with them and spread it to other members of their colony.
While individual termites can be affected within days, it might take up to two months to effectively treat the entire colony.
Fortunately, Terminix will continue to monitor these bait stations annually, keeping an eye out for termite activity. And with their Ultimate Protection Guarantee, you’re covered for any future termite treatments or damage repairs. That’s the strongest guarantee in the business.
Another treatment option is the Liquid Defend System, which starts with a Terminix technician digging trenches along your foundation as well as drilling small holes in your slab to create a treatment zone. Next, using specialized equipment, the soil and excavated dirt are saturated with liquid termite treatment. Then the holes are covered to restore the original appearance of the foundation.
This protection barrier insures that if any termites do tunnel through the treated soil, they are covered with the treatment material, which they quickly spread to the rest of their colony.
No matter which technique is employed, the highly-trained technicians at Terminix are eager to help solve your problem quickly and effectively. Termite Myths – Terminix
Published: Mar 3, 2016
“Do you know these 5 common termite myths? In our “Ask The Entomologist” series Paul Curtis, B.C.E. debunks common myths about termites and other common pests.”
“It’s time to set the record straight.
We’ve got some termite myths to exterminate.
Myth Number 1: Termites are related to ants.
This is NOT true.
Termites are more closely related to cockroaches.
Myth Number 2: Termites can’t get into concrete, brick, or stone structures.
The fact is they can get into cracks, and can tunnel in and around.
Myth Number 3: Termites only get into older homes.
The truth is, termites are constantly foraging for food and often get into newer homes, even 5 or 10 years old.
Myth Number 4: Termites are only found in southern homes.
The truth is the only state without termites is Alaska.
Myth Number 5: Termite treatments just move termites from house to house.
Actually, Terminix has the expertise and technology to successfully treat termite colonies wherever they may be. However, it is common for neighborhoods to have termites and multiple colonies affecting several homes.
Hopefully, now you’re feeling more educated about termites and prepared to handle whatever termite issue that comes your way. If you like this video, please share it with your friends.”
